It’s in the cards! Canasta, a card game that is a form of rummy and bridge, attracts all age groups, creating a friendly and social atmosphere. Canasta offers hours of entertainment, while enhancing strategy skills. Through open and supervised games, students learn the basics, rules and mechanics, how to score, winning strategies, working with a partner, and more! At the end of the series students will feel confident in their abilities to play a game with friends and family.
Pamela Suett, Instructor
I want to share my love of the game. I have been playing and teaching MahJongg for many years, but really enjoy playing Canasta. A game could last an hour or more with ups and downs and exciting developments. My extensive business career was spent primarily in non-profit education. My last position was at a Westchester graduate school where I was responsible for prospective and new student information sessions, campus tours, and orientations. I now want to spread the joy of playing Canasta and helping others to learn.
