American MahJongg For Beginners

Tuesday, May 65:00—7:00 PMLocated in the Conference Room

Bam! Crack! Dot!

Learn the American version of this fascinating ancient game of skill and chance. Mah Jongg is typically played with four people. The game is social, competitive, exciting and addictive. The instructor breaks down the layers of the game into an easy and fun challenge. Loved for generations by all ages, Mah Jongg is a great way to get together with friends, keep your mind stimulated, improve your memory, and it is lots of fun. The Library will provide the current National Mah Jongg League card at the first class.

Presented by Pamela Suett, Instructor.
Class size is limited.
Registration required once to attend all meetings.

I have over 35+ years of experience playing Mah Jongg and a love of the game passed down from my mother. I would fall asleep at night growing up to the sound of the tiles clicking and the ladies laughing. My extensive business career was spent primarily in non-profit education. My most recent position was at a Westchester graduate school where I was the main liaison/support for prospective and new students (information sessions, campus tours, new student orientations, etc.). I now spread the joy of playing Mah Jongg and continue doing what I love - helping others to learn.

Our programs are supported by the Friends of the Somers Library through our patrons' generous contributions.
